Let Your Faith Speak

I used to think being bold in my faith meant being louder. The people I pictured as “on fire for Jesus” were the ones with microphones, leading big groups, never hesitating when it came time to share their testimony.
But I’ve learned boldness doesn’t always look like that.
Sometimes bold is small. It’s showing up at the table and mentioning Jesus when no one else does. It’s offering prayer for a friend in quiet words (even when your voice shakes a little). It’s using the skills God placed in your hands to point others back to Him.
That’s where Talmida began for me.
A Disciple Who Designs
For years, I've worked in graphic design, writing, social media, marketing, retail, and business. At first, they felt like separate pieces of my story—skills I picked up along the way. But God doesn’t waste what He gives us.
Looking back, I can see His thread: creativity to design, words to encourage, strategy to build, operations to steward, and a heart to serve. None of it was random. He was equipping me to create tools that help women grow as disciples and point others back to Him.
I’m not the person who thrives on a stage. I’m an introvert who still gets nervous praying out loud — even at family gatherings (yes, I still write my Christmas prayer ahead of time). But even in that, I’m learning that God doesn’t ask for perfect words, just willing hearts.
That’s what I’m still practicing— letting my faith speak, even when it feels small.
Talmida is my offering, where I bring the gifts He’s strengthened in me and turn them into tools and designs that spark thoughts and conversations about Jesus.
More Than a Shop
Talmida isn’t just Christian gear. My heart is for ministry. Yes, there are shirts and mugs and journals, but those are only the beginning.
My dream is to create and curate tools that draw women deeper into everyday discipleship: devotionals you can open over coffee, Bible studies that guide honest discussions, journals that help you reflect and pray, merch that sparks conversation, and simple resources that weave Scripture into daily rhythms.
Beyond products, I long for community. A space where women encourage one another, share stories of bold faith, feel safe to ask the questions, and keep each other steady in love and truth.
That’s the heartbeat of Talmida: not merch, but ministry. Not just a shop, but a movement toward everyday faithfulness— simple, steady, and real.
Boldness Looks Different
The Bible is full of people whose boldness didn’t look the same.
Moses was bold in obedience, even while afraid.
Mary was bold in saying yes, even without seeing the full picture.
Paul was bold even from prison, and his words still reaching the world.
The Samaritan woman was bold in telling her messy story, and many believed.
Esther was bold in interceding for her people at great risk.
Barnabas was bold in encouragement, lifting others into their calling.
Your boldness might not look like mine, and that’s the point. For some it’s teaching. For others it’s creating. For you it might be raising children who know Scripture, mentoring a younger woman, sharing your testimony with a coworker, or simply choosing to wear your faith in a visible way.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7
Let Your Faith Speak in the Everyday
I’m still learning to live this out too— every day. Boldness doesn’t always mean changing your whole life overnight, sometimes it begins with small, ordinary steps:
Read one short passage in the morning and pray it back to God.
Share a verse that encouraged you with a friend who needs hope.
Pray out loud with your child before school or bedtime (or both!) — simple, honest words.
Keep Scripture cards in your bag; leave one at a table or share with a coworker.
Offer to pray for someone in the moment, not just “I’ll pray for you.”
Ask a good question at small group; let curiosity open deeper conversation.
Wear a faith-forward design and be ready when asked about it
These small acts matter. They plant seeds. They let your faith speak, sometimes without words.
As Talmida Grows
I’m building Talmida to help equip everyday discipleship through practical, beautiful tools. Here’s what you’ll find as we grow:
Free guides & printables: quick devotionals, prayer prompts, and Scripture cards.
Short devotionals: short reads with real-life encouragement.
Bible studies: simple studies for individuals or groups.
Journals & notebooks: space to reflect, pray, and plan with purpose.
Faith tools: resources to help you dive deeper and grow stronger.
Seasonal rhythms: devotionals and challenges for Advent, Easter, and beyond.
Faith-forward designs: art and apparel that carry Scripture into everyday life.
…and more.
And because generosity is part of discipleship, every order helps fund ministry. $1 from each order goes to Kingdom work. Right now, we're giving to Global Frontier Missions, serving the least reached through mobilizing, training, and multiplying disciples and churches.
Walking Together
Ministry multiplies in community. And while that part of Talmida is still being built, my hope is to grow it into a space where women can walk with Jesus together. Simple, honest, and encouraging.
Here’s what some of what I have in mind:
A welcoming email community with weekly encouragement and practical tools.
Small-group prompts so you can gather a few friends with confidence.
Prayer threads and testimony stories that remind us we’re not alone.
Seasonal challenges we can walk through together.
Opportunities to serve and give — because love looks like action.
Talmida means disciple, a learner and follower. My prayer is that this becomes a gathering place for women who want to walk closely with Jesus, even when our steps feel small.
We’re still growing. Still learning. Still following — together.
Draw near. Walk boldly. Let your life make Jesus visible right where you are.
If you’d like to be part of what’s coming, you can join Talmida Together, a growing circle of women learning to live their faith boldly, one day at a time.

A Short Prayer
Jesus, thank You for the grace that found us and the Spirit who empowers us. Teach us to be bold with love, steady in truth, and gentle in our words. Use us to make You known. Help us let our faith speak, right where we are. Amen.
